Pending Submissions

A pending submission is a manuscript that has completed peer review and whose review results have been communicated by the editor, but for which the authors have not responded or submitted a revision within the specified deadline. This hinders the publication workflow and wastes the time and effort of editors and reviewers.

Minor revision
10–14 days from the date the editorial decision message is sent.
Major revision
15–30 days from the date the editorial decision message is sent.
Extension
One extension of up to 30 days, requested before the deadline with a clear reason.
1

Revision Deadlines

Authors must submit their revised manuscript, along with responses to the reviewers’ comments, by the deadline set by the Editorial Board. The deadline is stated in the editorial decision message sent together with the comments and revision requests, according to the following general provisions:

Revision type Deadline
Minor revision 10–14 days
Major revision 15–30 days
ⓘ  Note
The deadline is calculated from the date the editorial decision message is sent.
2

Extensions

If authors require additional time, the corresponding author may request an extension from the editor before the deadline, stating a clear reason. One extension of up to 30 days may be granted.

3

Reminders

If the deadline passes without a response, the editor will send two reminders to the corresponding author via email and the OJS system.

4

Closure of Manuscripts

If the authors still do not respond after the final reminder, the manuscript will be administratively closed and declared rejected. The authors will be notified of the closure by email.

✖  A closed manuscript cannot be resumed
Authors who wish to publish it in DINASIF must resubmit it as a new manuscript, which will undergo peer review from the beginning.
5

Repeated Pending Submissions

⚠  Possible sanction
Authors whose manuscripts have been closed due to non-response more than once may be barred from submitting to DINASIF for a specified period, as decided by the Editor-in-Chief.
