Pengaruh Penggunaan GeoGebra Terhadap Pemahaman Matematika Siswa SMA Kelas X pada Materi Fungsi Kuadrat
Abstract
The ability to understand concepts in mathematics plays a crucial role in the success of the learning process, particularly in the topic of quadratic functions, which are often considered abstract and difficult for most students to master. To address this issue, the use of interactive learning media such as GeoGebra is a potential alternative to help overcome these learning difficulties. This study was done to find out how much the use of GeoGebra influences students' understanding of quadratic functions. This research employed a quantitative approach through an experimental method, utilizing a One Shot Case Study design. The subjects of the study involved 34 students from class X-7 of SMAS Hang Tuah 2 Sidoarjo. Data collection techniques included observation of learning activities, posttests, and student response questionnaires regarding the use of GeoGebra. The results showed that GeoGebra provided a significant contribution in helping students connect the algebraic form of quadratic functions with their graphs through interactive visual representations. Most students showed enthusiasm and actively participated in the learning process, showing a notable improvement in their comprehension of the taught material. Based on the A significant correlation between... was revealed through simple linear regression analysis. the use of GeoGebra and students' understanding of quadratic functions. Although there are some students who still need technical assistance in using the application, in general GeoGebra has proven to be effective and has a positive impact in supporting the mathematics learning process, especially on materials that require high visualization skills such as quadratic functions.
