The DIRECT UTTERANCE USED BY SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENT WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADHD) CONDITION
Abstrak
Communication will continue as long as social interaction is still ongoing. Humans always use communication as a tool for social interaction. However, some people experience interference in communicating due to various different factors. One of the people who experience communication disorders in social interaction is a child with special needs (ADHD). ADHD is a condition that a person has trouble paying attention (Baihaqi, 2008). This research was conducted to find out direct speech acts that are often used by students with special needs. The data collected through field notes, and interview analyzed by using content analysis procedurs which is suggested by Ary (2006). The documents was analyzed to figure out what are the direct utterance often use by person with ADHD. The direct utterances of student with special needs towards their friends in the learning process consisted of directive speech acts with various modes, (1) commanding mode, (2) asking mode, and (3) direct advising mode.
