PELATIHAN PUBLIC SPEAKING DAN SOFT SKILLS BAGI REMAJA DI DESA PECEL DAN DESA BANJARSARI, KECAMATAN PORONG, SIDOARJO
Abstract
Public speaking and interpersonal skills (soft skills) training are crucial for young people to face the challenges of education and the workplace. In Pecel and Banjarsari Villages, Porong District, Sidoarjo, access to such training is still limited. This community service program by MPBI students from PGRI Delta Sidoarjo University aims to improve self-confidence, public speaking skills, and collaboration among young people through interactive workshops and simulations. The methods used include presentation sessions, role-plays, leadership training, and pre- and post-activity evaluations. The program lasted for 3–4 days in each village. Results showed significant improvements in self-confidence, teamwork, and speaking skills. The program also provided practical service experience for students and opened up the possibility of continuing soft skills activities in the local community
